All Good Things Must Come to an End

The moment to say goodbye has come. Today was our last day in Maryland. In the morning we went to school, some of us went to classes and others went to play basketball. When the classes were over, we said goodbye to the friends we had made at school. We were all sad because we did not want to leave. Now we will be going to a farewell dinner at Good Counsel with all the students who participated in the exchange program. Afterwards, we will go to the airport and leave to go back to Barcelona. This has been a wonderful experience and unfortunately all good things must come to an end. I want to thank all the teachers and families who made this experience possible. We will be awaiting the arrival of the USA exchange students in Barcelona in January.

PENTAGON CITY MALL and UNION STATION

Today, after meeting everybody at the school, we've gone to Pentagon City Mall. It is one of the best and most important malls in Washington DC. We've been shopping around for hours! This mall has many different shops so we've had the chance to buy some gifts for our families. We have also had lunch there: there are so many places…and we had our packed lunch!

Then, we left the mall and visited Union Station where there are also many nice and small shops.

Finally, we took the metro and the school bus to return to school and spend the afternoon with our respective families.

BALTIMORE: THE AQUARIUM

Today we went to the Aquarium in Baltimore. We saw lots of different types of fish and a bird named Margeret. We went with 6 exchange students, Rachel, Abby, Katie, Lucy, Claire and Krystelle, and the teacher Kelly. We saw the dolphins and we watched an amazing 4D movie about salmons and bears, I loved it!
Then we went to have lunch at Potbelly's and I got a pizza sandwich: it was tasty. After that, we returned to the school and some of us played basketball.
At home I did some of my homework, I had dinner and know we are making Pretzels:

WASHINGTON D.C. MONUMENTS

Today we had a long day which we spent in Washington DC... the day started off at Nevada's house (the house where I am staying) which was full of girls, because there had been an all girl sleepover the night before, and we were all trying to get dressed and ready so we would be on time for school! We had to take the bus at 8am from the school and then to the metro, and, at last, we were in DC. When we arrived there, we were ready to walk a lot in order to see all the monuments in the city. So yes, we walked, and we walked a lot. We saw the White House (where President Obama lives with his family), the Capitol, the Washington monument, the World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans memorial, the Lincoln Memorial., the Korean War Veterans memorial.... Each of these sights are amazing.

In the afternoon, we met our exchange hosts and went home back to their families. At 7pm we went back to Good Counsel because many of the students had something to celebrate: our hosts have been accepted into the National Honor Society due to their good grades and hard work at school... I just have to say: I'M PROUD OF YOU ALL!
